The weighment, self-contained
Each record carries what was weighed, how much, when, on which machine, by which operator — with the item’s identity and price stamped at the moment of weighing. Change the catalogue tomorrow and yesterday’s records stand exactly as they happened. For a business, that is the difference between data and evidence. The instrument’s own words are preserved alongside, so any record can be traced to the machine that produced it.
Bills, composed
Where machines bill at the point of weighing, the platform receives the transaction as the scale produced it: a bill with its line items, totals as the certified instrument computed them, each line a weighment in its own right. Corrections are credit notes — separate records with their own identity — because an honest ledger appends; it never rewrites. The books always reconcile: the lines visible are the lines summed.
Live arrival
Records appear on the web console and the apps as machines report them — a weighing lands on screens in about a second, no refresh, no polling. The day’s story assembles itself while the day happens.
Views that answer questions
Totals and breakdowns by item, by operator, by machine, by branch; search and date ranges that hold in the address bar; and exports (CSV from the console; CSV and print-ready PDF from the apps, generated on the device) so the numbers travel to whoever asks for them.
Scoped to the letter
A branch user sees their branch. A customer sees their machines. The boundary is enforced in the data layer and proven in the platform’s tests — not a filter that politeness maintains.
