The accept window travels from the cloud
Each item carries its low and high limits — its accept window — in the catalogue. Changing over a line is a cloud action: pick the item, and the platform delivers its window to the machine. The container’s own weight is accounted for in the window it receives, so the machine judges goods, not glass. After a power cut, the module re-arms the machine with its window on its own, before the network is even back.
Every pack, a verdict
Each package becomes a weighment stamped with the window it was judged against and the verdict it earned — below, within, or above. The verdict of that moment is permanent: tighten the spec next month and history keeps the judgement it was given, which is exactly what an audit wants.
Capture at the machine, from a phone
The mobile capture app turns a phone into the line’s station: the live weight draws itself on screen with the window’s limits as rules, the verdict told in colour and plain words — below, within, above — and one tap records the pack. No orphan records, no unlabelled packs — the paperwork and the fact cannot disagree. Reprint any pack later from its stored record, preserving the original moment.
The day, at a glance
Packaging dashboards — on the web and in the apps — roll the line up live: packs and weight totals, the verdict distribution across the day, breakdowns by item, by operator, by machine, with sticky day sections, filters, and exports. A home-screen widget keeps today’s count one glance away, and taps straight into the detail.
Two ways to reach the scale
The capture station works over the cloud — and, on supported scales, directly over short-range wireless when the machine and the phone share a room. Same screen, same honesty, either path.
- Batch views — packs grouped into the runs the line actually works in, with per-batch rollups.
- Deeper machine control from the station — the capture surface growing into routine scale configuration for the machines it serves.
- Per-person accountability — operator identity moving from the signed-in account to the person at the machine, ready for badge- and tag-based identification as deployments call for it.
- Line-level intelligence — verdict patterns read across shifts and seasons, surfacing drift before it becomes giveaway or rejects.
